About the Artist
Hello, I’m Julie Vincent — artist, poet, and PhD. My art and poetry emerged during a time of profound upheaval — escaping domestic violence and navigating homelessness, while completing my doctorate evaluating mental health services. Creativity became a way to survive, heal, and make meaning.
Traveling across Europe, America, India, Africa, and Australia’s Centre and Top End, I painted, wrote, and composed in response to landscapes, people and places. These works are in presented in:

• Travels Without — sketches and poems from a journey across Europe and America
• More Travels — an exploration of Top End Australia, India and Africa in art and poetry
• Exploring the Heart — paintings and poems tracing grief, love and a spiritual journey to the Centre of Australia.
