Darwin

Across the harbour
Darwin
In the distance
All alight
Energised by night
Vibrant
Yet so cumbersome and sprawling
But from here
Alluring
All aglow
Remote Australian port
Closest to international
Mix of many cultures
Offering hope for all
Celebration of Indigenous culture
This tropical monsoonal city
On the Arafura Sea
How you tease me
Play with me and please me
Sparkling in the distance
Full of life, possibilities and energy
City explosion
In Australia’s tropical north.
