Gibb River Road

Gibb River Road
Dream of a lifetime
Holding my breath
Anticipation and excitement
Are we there yet?
Rising high on the plateau
Striking out from under the hills
Magic I’ve dreamed of
Stops my heart still
Red rocky ranges
Prancing on show
Cocky Cockburn ranges
All red in the suns glow
Performing a dance
Of setting light
Wonder
I’ve seen it
So worth the trip
