Varanasi

Varanasi
From Varanasi to Delhi
To Rajasthan and back
All the way
Everyday
We see so much lack
No water
No food
Nowhere to sleep
Needs so overwhelming
My heart
It bleeds
What can I do?
How can I help?
To prevent discrepancy
Between those with and without wealth

Inflations looming
Prices soar
Nothing’s improving
For the poor things are getting worse
Homelessness’s rising to 25%
What is the answer?
What is the way?
How do you prevent suffering another day?

Go down to the Ganges
Salvation is free
A dip in the water
Will set you free
Free from suffering
Free from pain
Free from facing another life again
Pilgrims flock from near and far
To get good karma
Guaranteed
All you have to do
Is worship 33 million Gods
And do good
At all times

So down to the Ganges
Salvation is free
A dip in the water
Will set you free
Free from suffering
Free from pain
Free from facing another life again
